Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Quickvite ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Quickvite is an event invitation management platform that allows users to create organizations, manage events, distribute and track invitations, facilitate QR code-based check-in, and view event analytics. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. Account Registration

• You must sign in using a valid Google account to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete profile information when prompted.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Distribute spam invitations or unsolicited communications
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
• Upload or distribute malicious code or content
• Create events for illegal activities

5. Organizations & Events

• Organization owners and managers are responsible for the events and invitations created within their organizations.
• Organization owners may grant roles (Manager, Member, Scanner) to other users, and are responsible for managing access appropriately.
• Event organizers who enable the public guest list feature acknowledge that guest names and RSVP statuses will be publicly visible.
• We reserve the right to remove organizations or events that violate these Terms.

6. Invitations & QR Codes

• Invitations and their associated QR codes are intended for personal use by the designated recipient.
• Sharing, duplicating, or forging invitation QR codes is prohibited.
• We are not responsible for unauthorized use of shared invite links or QR codes.
• Invite tokens may expire or be revoked at the discretion of event organizers.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (organization names, event descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant Quickvite a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and store that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

8. Data Export

Organization owners and managers may export event data, including invite and attendance records. Exported data may contain personal information of event guests. You are responsible for handling exported data in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by Quickvite and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quickvite and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quickvite and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Quickvite operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
