  • Google account identifiers and authentication tokens

Event & Organization Data

  • Organizations you create or join, including name, description, and membership role
  • Events you create, including name, description, location, date, and capacity
  • Invitations you send, claim, or receive, including RSVP status and check-in timestamps
  • Guest names provided when claiming invites

Automatically Collected Information

  • Session data and authentication tokens necessary to keep you signed in
  • Theme preference stored locally in your browser

  • To create and manage your account
  • To facilitate event creation, invite distribution, RSVP tracking, and QR check-in
  • To display public guest lists when enabled by event organizers
  • To generate analytics and reports for event organizers
  • To enable data exports (e.g., Excel reports) for authorized organization members

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With organization members: Event organizers and managers can view invite and attendance data for their events, including your name, RSVP status, and check-in time.
  • Public guest lists: If an event organizer enables the public guest list feature, your name and RSVP status may be visible to anyone with the guest list link.
  • Service providers: We use third-party services to host and operate the platform, including cloud database providers. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database. Authentication is handled via industry-standard OAuth 2.0 with JWT-based sessions. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Event and invite data is retained as long as the associated organization exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
  • Request a portable copy of your data

8. Cookies & Local Storage

Quickvite uses essential authentication cookies managed by our authentication provider to keep you signed in. We also store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser's local storage. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Third-Party Services

We use Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to the data they collect during the authentication process. We encourage you to review Google's privacy policy separately.

10. Children's Privacy

Quickvite is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
